Additional Tariff Clause
In the event that any additional tariffs, taxes, fines, penalties, sanctions, charges or fees (hereinafter referred to as Costs) are imposed on the Vessel, its owners, managers, operators, crew, the Carrier or insurers due to the vessel’s characteristics, including but not limited to its flag state, the nationality of the shipbuilder or crew members under any laws, regulations, rules or orders enacted, promulgated or implemented by any country, state, government or authority after commencement of loading, all such Costs should be borne by the Merchant. The Carrier shall have a lien on the Goods and any related documents until full reimbursement of the Costs by the Carrier.
